Simple Steps to Eat Clean

          Living in the present time can lead one to both happiness and damage due to the advancement of the new era. Everything has been made conveniently including the methods to comply the need of nourishment. Presently, it tends to be effortless to find various kind of food with their wide range of costs, some can be very economical while the others can be much overpriced. As it is known, everyone should satisfy their need of diet in order to preserve the fitness and the body endurance. However, there is not always clean food because there seems to be more fast food which is often unhealthy due to the content of chemical substances. Hence, the awareness to maintain a clean diet is very vital and one must know how to have a healthy food. There are several methods to eat clean in order to have a healthy and joyful life.
            The first method is to consume more whole food. Consuming whole food is believed to be the best way to start eating clean as Bedwell (2012) states that it becomes an important objective to eat one-ingredient food which is nutrient-rich. The whole food refers to any food which consists of one ingredient such as fruits, vegetables, whole wheat, etc. This method can be done by substituting the processed food with the whole food like what has been previously stated. For instance, one can alter the processed refreshments with a piece of fruit, a handful of nuts or a piece of low-fat cheese. Cooking at home regularly is also one of many alternatives to consume more whole food,  as the effectiveness of serving home-made dishes manages to obviate the processed food. Furthermore, to prepare meal at home is healthier as one is able to select natural viands to be cooked; thus, it will be uncomplicated to have more whole food for daily diet.
            Secondly, it is essential that one notice the ingredient lists in every food product. Since each of the product consists of various ingredients, thus, selecting the simple yet healthy ones should be done in order to execute the clean eating routine. By reading the food labels, there should be no difficulty to compare one food product to the others in order to obtain the one which has more vitamin, fiber, and protein like what has been described by LaBarbera (2012), “Reading food labels will make it much easier for you to compare foods and find the foods that have the nutritional value your child needs.” The sequence of the quantity from the ingredients are listed on a label of certain food products determines the amount of the ingredients that exists within the food. Normally, the ingredient which is put on the top of the list on the label is the largest content within the product. Thence, the less processed food tends to be composed of the simpler ingredients. Nevertheless, a short ingredient list does not always signify that the food product is healthful and a longer ingredient list cannot imply that the product is harmful for one’s health. For instance, soda, ice cream, and potato chips probably comprise of simply three ingredients while whole-grain cereals, vegetables medleys, and whole-grain bread may be composed of more ingredients.
            The last method is to examine and assure that there is no additional substance in the aliment for it may disrupt the natural content of the healthy food. Essentially, every fresh and natural food has plenty of nutrition which are able to nourish human’s body as long as all of the ingredients contained in the food do not have any additives.  For this reason, one should cautiously ensure the food is only composed of unprocessed ingredients in order to really implement the eating clean routine. However, several food such as canned vegetables and frozen fruits are harmless as long as there is no preservative inside the product. Therefore, looking through the ingredient list of food products  is such an imperative thing to be done by every individual who has the desire to live the healthier lifestyle.
            In conclusion, every individual should establish a better lifestyle by starting to have a better eating routine. One should know which food to be consumed and which one is not, for maintaining a healthy body is very vital. This is definitely can be implemented by the three methods of eating clean, they are to consume more whole food, notice the ingredient lists, and to assure there is no additive in the food. Those are simple steps that one should follow to have a new eating routine that leads to the healthier and more contented life. For there is always a famous proverb that says, it is better to prevent than to cure.
